The Mariners finally fired Bill Bavasi, their GM. I have been against him since they hired him, and am relieved that he is gone! Maybe now the team can start fixing some of the problems that have left them as the worst team in the major leagues.
In other news - I will be posting about our weekend trip in the next day or two, once I have a chance to get pictures off the camera. To whet your appetite: there will be tales of black flies, broken backpacks, great views, and boots.
